PVC Pressure
PVC pressure pipes are manufactured from PVC resin compounded with stabilizers, lubricants and pigments. They do not contain any plasticizers and hence are known as unplasticized PVC or uPVC.
uPVC pipes have been used for pressure applications in Pakistan since the 1960s, but have a much longer service history elsewhere in the world. Over this time, industry has recognized the many benefits of PVC for pressure pipes: material stability, corrosion resistance, and high strength to weight ratio, ease of handling and installation and excellent flow characteristics.
Builtec uPVC Pipes & Fittings are being produced according to BSS 3505:1968 incorporating amendments issued in August, 1972 (AMD 1014) and July, 1975 (AMD 1773) and PS 3051:1991 and underline from Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA), under the Ministry of Science and Technology Government of Pakistan. However Builtec uPVC can also be produced as per other international standards. Builtec uPVC pipes are also being produced according to Schedule-40, Schedule-80, and Schedule-120 as per customer demand according to ASTM D 1785, STM D 2241, SDR Series, DIN 8062 for irrigation, Drainage & Cable ducting standards. Following are the uPVC production categories as per mentioned standards:

Advantages of Builtec uPVC Pipes
Builtec uPVC pipes and fitting exhibit excellent resistance to aggressive environments both naturally occurring and as a result of industrial activity. They are resistant to almost all types of corrosion, either chemical or electro-chemical in nature. Since Builtec uPVC is a non-conductor, galvanic and electro chemical effects do not occur in Builtec uPVC pipes.
Due to its non-metallic nature, the material used is totally resistant to all forms of metallic corrosion. Aggressive water resulting from high Sulphate soils and low hardness water will not attack Builtec uPVC pipes. Our pipes are therefore resistant to a wide range of industrials waters and chemicals and offer an advantage in long-term systems life and manufacture costs.

PLASTIC PIPING PVC SYSTEM
Builtec uPVC pipes are relatively light. Their specific weight 1.43 is one-fifth that of steel pipes. This cuts down transportation costs and facilitates installation when in difficult and remote places. Installation is quick and easy with a complete line of fittings either with the solvent glue welded sockets or the rubber seal socket joints. In either case, a leak-proof joint is assured. Subsequent maintenance work is also carried out with a minimum of complication and cost.
